Perennials...

We’re starting to come into prime garden season. You don’t have to wait until spring is here; you’ll miss the best time to get your gardens ready for the season.

Start with a good general cleaning of your garden beds:

  • Remove all the twigs, leaves and debris that has accumulated through the winter
  • Clean up all your perennials, trimming back all the unsightly foliage
  • Remove all the weeds from your garden beds
  • Cut back your ornamental grasses if you haven't done so already
  • Loosen up your soil so your spring blooming bulbs and perennials will emerge easily
  • Finally, apply some good organic mulch on top of your garden. It is the single most important thing you can do for your garden every year.

Now that your beds are all ready to go, come on out to Johnson Brothers and start selecting some fresh, new and exciting perennials to put in them. In honor of that idea the Perennial Department will be having "The Early Gardener Gets the Deal" promotion. You’ll have the opportunity to see what’s new in the Perennials Department, get inspired for the spring season and get some great deals. Check out our website coupons for details.
